OpenMP now provides a richer set of directives that capture a wider range of parallelization strategies. The newest version of OpenMP 5.0 standard contains many new features. In this webinar, we will give a brief overview of the new features introduced in OpenMP 5.0 and the updates from 4.5 to 5.0. Many new features will be implemented in the upcoming GCC 9 and upcoming Intel compilers. We will discuss some new features which have already been implemented in Intel compilers available on Compute Canada systems.
