In addition to the cluster command-line interface used for scheduling batch jobs, SHARCNET provides a virtual desktop interface. This interface can be accessed via the web site or a VNC client and is intended mainly for pre- and post-processing data with graphical applications.
This talk will cover what virtual desktop infrastructure is available, how to connect via the web, how to connect via a VNC client, and how to use the resources. Particular emphasis will be placed on performing visualization.
