Dusky is a cluster reachable at dusky.sharcnet.ca using CC credentials.

Hardware

20 nodes, each with 64G of RAM and dual Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2670 v3 @ 2.30GHz (24 cores total)

GPU nodes with older Tesla K80 cards which formerly belonged to other clusters are also being added.

Software

Dusky has the standard Compute Canada software installation, same as graham. Instructions for using that software can be found at [1]

Storage

After the update completed in September 2019, dusky uses the home and project filesystems of graham.

If you used Dusky before the reconfiguration, you may be surprised that none of your files are accessible. They still exist! The old Dusky used "legacy" Sharcnet global /home and /work filesystems, which are still available, just not from Dusky.

By logging into dtn.sharcnet.ca with your SHARCNET/legacy credentials, you can transfer files to gra-dtn1.sharcnet.ca using tools like scp/sftp/rsync. You can also login to gra-dtn1 (ComputeCanada credentials), and perform the same transfers, pulling from dtn.sharcnet.ca. You may also use Globus: https://www.sharcnet.ca/help/index.php/Globus
